Oliver has photographed live music acts and DJs in a variety of settings and venues, including clubs, concert venues, and festivals. He has worked with household names such as Damian Marley, Damon Albarn, and De La Soul, as well as exciting up-and-coming bands and DJs. This experience allows him to draw from a rich tapestry of musical talent, connecting his own lifelong passion for music with his photography career. As a DJ and electronic music producer himself, Oliver understands the nuances of live performances and the energy they bring to the stage.

Different venues and situations hold unique challenges. For example, the often limited time given to photograph big-name acts at close quarters can be daunting, while the usually low and challenging lighting conditions in clubs can test even the most skilled photographers. With this in mind, Oliver dedicates absolute concentration to getting the key shots whenever they arise. He is always prepared to capture those fleeting moments that define a performance.

A temptation of photographing live music is to focus purely on photographing the main acts. However, Oliver makes sure that time and attention are also given to capturing support acts, as well as the crowd and atmosphere of the event. This holistic approach often leads to capturing quirky details that add uniqueness to his work.
