A selection of personal photographic projects beyond Oliver's core client work. These personal endeavors range from travels and observational street photography in the UK and abroad to more specifically set-up shoots, like the 'Artists and Makers' series. By setting his own briefs, or sometimes embracing the freedom of no particular brief at all, Oliver fosters a space where themes and patterns organically emerge, allowing his artistic instincts to flourish. Some projects are completed in the span of a single day, while others stretch over weeks or months - the lack of a set deadline giving Oliver the opportunity to explore his themes in whichever way he chooses.

Many projects even extend over several years, allowing him to revisit subjects and themes, revealing subtle nuances that may not appear on first view. This ongoing engagement with different subjects enables Oliver to explore deeper narratives and develop a unique visual language that transcends commercial constraints. However, certain elements of this visual language can be brought back into his commercial work to add colour and variety to shoots at risk of becoming flat or predictable.

Through these personal projects, he sharpens his technical skills and cultivates a deeper artistic connection with his work, ultimately enriching his commercial photography.
